I'm sitting here 9:29AM, waiting for the phone to ring from my
Las Vegas friends who have been up in Wine Country all week
...they're heading home today and will stop by for a visit.
Matt, I'm so pleased with your trip...I haven't had that good a
gaming trip in years! Luck was certainly with you and you did GREAT!
I've never played Craps or Roulette....maybe I should learn the in's
and out's one of these days.
I jotted notes down as I read your TR, so I'm just going to rabel in
fragments as I look back over them.
I had to get the new BLUE card too when I was at Barbary Coast for
BIG ELVIS (miss my old RED card though...) I really enjoyed watching
the GIANT WOF too...looked like great fun playing or just cheering on the folks who were.
How many times have we all said..."i shold have..." EL TORO CRAPO, we
do what we do in Vegas, and that's it/NO DISAPPOINTMENTS.
I haven't done the SUNCOAST yet...glad you did, now I don't have to. lol
I've heard it's 'theme' is...Coast Casinos, and you just confirmed it.
Forget to put IN your players card, Forget to take OUT your players card,
sounds all too familiar!
Isn't the GOLD COAST a neat little place...gaming, food, prices!!!
The first time you did their Buffet....even filling up that 6' frame of yours,
I don't know where you put it. Chinese, Mexican, (carved Sausage?) lol,
THEN PIZZA and CHEESECAKE...my my my, and the lady who stuck her
arm in the middle of the Dice toss......LOL! damn tourists!
...and 'lousy junture points' are the norm in Vegas 'Rodney'...respect or
not.
So, back at the RIO...you experienced your first BEVERTAINER huh...
Those poor kids. They're all wanna-be dancers or singers, not cocktail
servers...they're just working there until they get their 'break' into
ShowBiz...unfortunatly for most, it won't happen and they'll be stuck at
the RIO. I don't care for them, I want the old IPANIMA COCKTAIL SERVERS back...Bevertainment is a distraction to me.
If you stay at the RIO again, those TV's do turn...they're just real stiff
and you've got to give 'em a good twist. Cool room though huh...I'm glad
you got a good POOL/STRIP view and remember...you could have
requested the IMPNIMA TOWER instead of MASQUERADE if you would have thought of it...less crowded getting to the elevators!
When I read your 'Room Service' order...Bambi-Ballet-Rambo-Nochos
I thought..."what the hell?"...then I got it... BAMBALEO'S Restaurant's
nochos...never had 'em, just the chips and dip while waiting for my order
to come in the restaurant....I LIKE BAMBALEO'S!
$704.00 WOW!...VERY COOL! and the...Oh NO! Oh NOO! room key
insodent... ROTFL!...good Security though huh! You wouldn't want
'Carrot Top's 'Raymond' sneaking into your room, now would you! LOL
Those little WINDOWS in the shower are always a point of interest.
When Tony Marnell build the RIO, they were to incourage a little more
adventure/romance/ in the attitude of guests the RIO was trying to
attract at the time. I always just enjoyed the extra light it brought into
the shower and they're NOT in many of the newly re-deccorated rooms
now...I don't have one in my 13th floor room.
Everyone seems to really enjoy their experiences at the ORLEANS.
Congrads on the ROYAL...real or fake, they must be fun (iwouldn'tknow)
All in all...YOU HAD A GREAT TRIP!
