Default TR - mK - daytrip to Laughlin

This last tuesday i drove down to laughlin. Wanted to get out of town for the day.

The skies looked gray & never did fully clear up. But, once i was in Laughlin, the showers disappeared.

Left Henderson at around 9:45am... traffic was really mild on 95 going down. It's two lanes nearly the entire way.. only exception was a couple of locations for construction. Delays were not more than 3 minutes.

Got into Luaghlin around 11:00am. Went down casino center drive. I havent been to Laughlin in 9 years. Before 'that' it was another 7 years going back to my teen years. Things looked only slightly different (with some add'l hotels).

Anyhow, i parked @ the "Belle" (colorado belle hotel) & walked in. Walked around for a bit and the dove in with an hours worth of gambling. They have two craps tables, but the one that was open was the 'tub'. Two dollar minimum. Played for twenty minutes or so... there were some east-coasters playing & it was a good time. Made $17. Gosh, gotta love the low limits.

Walked around & did some roulette (50 cents per chip) and did so-so. Blackjack was available for $1 or $2 minimum depending on the table.

Over to the keno lounge i went. It's nestled up against the sportsbook, which is, well......... just a tiny betting window with magnetic odds board behind it.

Went outside to the ferry shuttles. I dont even know if they have the shuttle boats anymore. I mean... they might? They had the ramp going down there... but no shuttle came by in 17 minutes. There was also a warped weather beaten sign that said 'ferry boat' '$4'.

My gosh, my parents would just frown at this if they were still alive. Sigh.

Walked back up to the boardwalk (sort of)..and walked over to the Edgewater. This casino was a bit more crowded. I played an hour of roulette (again 50 cent chips) and made a $41 profit. Left & back to the BELLE for some VP.

Folks, they had 5-cent FULL PAY j.o.b. there. Life cant get much better than this. Oh, and it was a coin-dropper, lol. So, when i cashed out--i had heavy metal with me. LOL.

Back in my car & over the river to Bullhead City. Went down the main drag & found this mexican restaurant that i havent ate at in 18 years. It was still there!! Yay!! Great mexican food.

Since i was in arizona--i went to a mini mart & got myself a POWERBALL ticket for the next 98324 draws--or something like that, he he.

Back over to the NV side & made my way back to mecca. That's mostly it. It was nice to get out of town.
