Default WSOP online satellites, anyone having luck?

I haven't played in any yet, but I have been deciding if I should even put in the time/money/effort.

It is tempting because the satellites start really cheap, but of course you have to play awesome, not just once, but a few times.

Anyone playing in any? I think my max buy-in would be in the $100-$200 range.

For the last two seasons I have come dead close to getting my ticket via partypoker, just one hand away last year(allin preflop with KK vs chipleader on my table with AKsuited, the bastard hit his ace and put me 14th(prize package for 11places)).Would've had enough chips to sit out and wait to get in!!!! Went into depression for 2months and my game took a serious hammering because of it. This year I havent tried,BUT i will play a couple of satts in V*E*G*A*S next week.

T-4.5 days to go WOOOOOHOOOOO

Chancer.. you sound like a solid player my friend. I'm sure once you hit LV, you'll be swimming in chips.

You know i've got to admit - i dont know all the terms for poker. Does a satellite tournament mean it's a local tourn --- or is it online.

... where 200 people put up $100 & the prize given away is a seat into the WSOP? Meanwhile the house keeps 10K profit?

LOL,your nearly there, if the buy-in for the main event is say $10,000 you might pay $100+$9(entry fee) and for every 100 players they will award 1 seat. Online there is a shed load of satellites, and super satellites where you pay a very small amount, like a buck and for every 25players one will get an entry into another satellite for $25 and so on til you get you ticket into the tournament proper. Long way round, but can work out fruitful!
And yes,I LUV my poker, always trying to improve  [/code]
