Where is a good place to watch football? I used to be a big fan of the Startdust but now it is gone. Also enjoy Venetian as the drink service is great but has been too crowded the last couple times on a football day. May check out the Hilton as Dr Al suggested. Do the Station casino's have free drinks? Does Mandalay Bay ?

Livin... that's a good question.
I havent made it into town for a few weeks now for football. But, lately i've been going to the IP. Their theater is set up with tv's... it's free admission... and they do snack foods (nachos, hotdogs, etc) that you pay for of course. Then there's roaming waitresses with a pretty short drink list you can order from (mostly it's $2 MGD in the longneck). You pay for booze here also. It's only filled up once during the football season... if you get there early enough you can snag a booth. One of the reasons i sort of stay away from the sportsbooks, is that they have the audio (with my luck) on for the game i'm not interested in, lol. Or, they have no audio at all. Furthermore on the IP... they have the tables set up in their usual 'spot' behind the race bookbook 'pyramid stairs' -- if that makes sense to you. What i do.. if i'm going to the I.P.... is get my football wagers early (damn early - or even the night before).. as the wait can be 100 persons long at 20 min til kickoff). Then i'll hang at the IP theater for a short while. Then, when i need my booze fix... i'll go into the racebook & watch whatever game i want on the tiny indiv. screens they have @ every seat. Drinks are free in there.. and there's a couple of watiresses that are REALLY efficient at keeping you satisfied. This one waitress.. she went on break, and when she came back.. she brought me TWO of what i ordered last time (and i didnt even ask for another round). Tip a dollar a drink & you'll do fine... Tip $2 a drink & you'll do fine & they'll be comin stronger. Friend of mine & myself were their about a month ago... we just spread open a newspaper on the table to make it look like we were studying the past performances of the horses, lol lol lol !!!! Bellagio... really comfy chairs in there - but i dont know how drinks work. Mandy Bay... never been in their sportsbook. LVHilton... i STILL havent been back since finding out that there IS A THEATER with a mega screen to watch games. Sooooo, all i've sat in was there superbook with 11 big screens. Drink service is 'fair' - they come by about once every 25 to 30 minutes. And, the waitress asks to see if your wagers in hand. The drinks are good & the glasses are 'taller' than some of the other joints. Greg told me the mega - screen is in the barry manilow theater... i guess i was just too dumb to 'ASK!!!!!!' while there, lol... and just assumed the 'theater' was the superbook. Oh well... i'll have to get over there. The word is, the mega screen over there is high-def and crrrrrrystal clear. Stations... i've watched football at Sunset station - the screens are mounted really high, dont care for that. But, they get a good crowd over there & the fans seem upbeat. Never was offered a drink in a 40 miinute stay. Green valley - pretty bad drink service. I got one drink in the 1st half of a game, and another drink in the 2nd half of the game. Their new book is pretty big actually, and it looked like there was one (maybe) two waitresses working it. Really sad. The drinks were very weak (like there was a shortage of alcohol in nevada that day!?!?!?!) Red Rock - they have a huge screen in their book & it's not mounted especially high. I only stayed there for about 10 minutes as i was on my way to red rock canyon... but it looked like plenty of waitresses & such. Plus, it stands to reason... as Red Rock Resort is the 'class' of the station casinos. side note--in general, i really dont care for Station Casinos... but that's just me. Caesars gets a good crowd over there - dont know how drink service goes. hope this random info helps
