Default Off-strip casinos

Last couple trips I've gotten a rental for the last 24 hrs. Figure it covers the cab ride to the airport, and gives me a reason to 'rein it in' for the last day so I'm not such a wreck when I get home (the rest of the time, driving would be... ill-advised). Anyway...

Have done a little exploring of outlying casinos as a result. Got to Jerry's Nugget, which is a hoot, but not a bad little place. Have seen Texas Station, Sunset Station, and GVR. I'm sure the hotel part of GVR is nicer, but the casino areas of those three IMO are pretty cookie-cutter. The main pits at GVR and Sunset are pretty cool, though, esp the ceiling in the Sunset pit, and the food was good at Sunset's Oyster bar.

Gonna add another one or two this trip. Have some LVA and ACG matchplays to use, which would get me to some places, but I though Sams Town looked kinda interesting. Any other suggestions?

Sams Town is an excellent choice. We usually try to get out there at least once every trip. They have a nice sports book area if interested in that sort of thing.
Dont really know anyother off strip hotels/casinos. Dont know if you consider Gold Coast or Orleans off strip. But they are both nice places.
Hope you have a winning trip.
