Why do you take the cloths you do to Vegas?
Is it because you can't ware them at home or because they're practical and comfortable. I'll take a dress jacket sometimes, because theres no place to ware one here in my normal day-to-day. My Mom and her friend had very expensive dresses and jackets they would/could only ware in Las Vegas to the Shows....Me, I dress for comfort just like at home. Jeans, T-shirt, and my Red high-top 'Chuck's' (Converse tennis shoes) |

Greg.. do you mean clothes..or clothes, lol !!!
he he he, im just givin you a rough time. DocAl - you must be my twin. I wear tommy bahama & other type shirts. Jeans, khaki shorts, etc. What i wear here--is what i wear anywhere. Inlcuding vegas. If im not comfortable, forget it. ((( unless of course its fancy eating somewhere...or a wedding ))). Doc, if you want another nice shirt - get a "Tori Richards". They have a lot of floral tropical stuff. Shes--converse, nike, etc--they're all fine. In LV you walk--we all know that. Myself, i prefer the combo sneaker/hiking boot... such as Columbia (brown canvas, simple not flashy). As for jackets.. i just dont like wearing one uless its REAL COLD. And, in LV-where are you going to set your jacket at the dice table !!!!! ????? If its COLD in LV--i cab it. |

Speaking of setting down your jacket...I had just arrived and was
re-organizing my bag before catching my cab. Off I went and left my jacket on the chair at the carousal. Got to the RIO and realized what I had done, call McCarran...said I could come back and look through 'Lost and Found'....well, I didn't. Three months later on the next trip...killing time waiting for my flight back home, I thought about my Black Dress Jacket and took a stroll over to Lost and Found. There...on a hanger...all by it's lonely self, was MY JACKET. |

Nice call on the Tori Richards, gotta look out for those.
Shoes are a perennial. Most of the shoes I have now were purchased with Vegas walking in mind. Can't stand coats or cameras in vegas. Anything I'm carrying will get set down and forgotten, it's a given. |

Doc Al i hear ya---ive taken my digital camera with me the past 4 trips. But have taken few pictures... but even a camera can be bulky/cumbersome. I think i need to have an extra day in LV & dedicate it to pictures, then ditch the camera.

I certainly know the importance of good walking shoes when
in Vegas...it's one of the most common 'tips' we give newbies when they ask what they should take. My 'Chucks' are probably one of the worst choices you could make. What I should take is a pillow..........TO SIT ON! I don't walk much in Las Vegas any more...I'm gambling or at a show. The sightseeing and walking around the Strip ended years ago, but my butt shure gets sore a lot! |

I dress for comfort. I take a medium sized duffel bag with just shoes and my dancing boots. I rotate my shoes like I rotate my tires. My tires just like my feet will last longer if I change them often.
I make sure my shoes have good support but yet are fashionable. Of course they must match my clothes. During the day shorts or capris and at night I will wear jeans and a nice blouse/shirt along with my dancing boots. |
