Default Hotel Deals for July & August

Hi Everybody! :-D

I am trying to plan a trip in July or August. Don't mind the heat and have usually been able to find good deals on rooms then, even on strip properties.

There do not seem to be very good deals yet. I have a decent offer from NYNY but otherwise everything still seems high. Does anyone know why or have any tips? Is it too early?

Thanks!

Hey Indy...yeah, it could be a bit early.
When I find hight rates, I always check with the
GOLD COAST 1.800.331.5334 Between their shuttle
and the one across the street at RIO, there's no problem
getting to and from the STRIP and rates are usually pretty good.
Gaming, food, buffet is as reasonable as it gets and still good quality.
PALMS is right across Flamingo for more good gaming also...

Here's one (there's several) addresses you can check for the
conventions in town and how many people they draw...

www.freevegasguide.com/conventions/

Lots of folks in town spells highter room rates...even with the heat.
Historically, summer rates should get lower but REMEMBER...as you're
looking for some better rates, and NYNY has something now....they could
go up too...I'd book something now and know you've got a place, then
continue to shop and cancel NYNY if you need to. Make sure you write
down how many days before you can cancel without penalty...that's what
I'd do.
Too many times, I've seen too many people who keep waiting for that
'good deal' on a hotel. They wait too long, good deals come and go, and
they never book one.....then you're stuck with the higher rate anyway.
