Default Las Vegas at Christmas

As posted on another board:

Considering a trip the week before Christmas. Couple of questions come to mind:

How is the weather?

Is it crowded or is the atmosphere dead?

Thanks for your help.

The weather is chilly by the first week of Dec. Fifties during the day, down to the 30s at night. Not sure how busy it will be until Christmas itself, Nov/Dec tends to be fairly dead aside from huge conventions or holidays.

I just booked my trip for the week before Christmas. I'm going from Dec 15-21. I love it during that time. Crowds are down. The weather is cool, but not unbearable. Some of the shows are dark during that time, but I can usually find something to see. Caesar's Palace has beautiful Christmas decorations as does the Bellagio conservatory. You might also find some Christmas shows at some of the casinos. I hope that Forever Plaid does their Christmas show this year.

I have my December trip booked too...3-7
Probably the best room rates of the year, it's still
busy enough to feel like Vegas, just not as crowded.

As far as Shows go, some will take off in November.
Others will go a week or two before Christmas to be
back for New Years...I always find plenty to see and do.

There's Christmas Specials that only happen that time of
year, surprise Shows that properties put on at the last minute...
Few Christmas decorations other than just a few properties, but
I alway enjoy that time of year there!
