Default Day trip

I"m coming to Vegas mid-Oct., and would like to take a day trip just to get out of town for a while. Can I do Parump and Primm in one day? I will be gambling at both places, but just like to get out of town to see the scenery. Thanks

Primm is very very doable in a day, maybe even a 1/2 of a day. I'm not sure if there's a particular casino/attraction you're aiming for???? But, as far as i know.. it's just a stateline stop with 2 or 3 casino/hotels. One of them has a huge roller coaster (that's been described 'okay' at best). Bet minimums are, of course low there.

Distance wise.. it's 50 miles from LV.

Pahrump... well i dont know much at all about the town or it's offerings.

Distance wise it's 60 miles from LV.

My suggestion (s) are to see either

Red Rock Canyon
or
Hoover Dam (hard hat tour, or whatever it's called)

I'll admit--i've never done the TOUR for Hoover, but it's on my list. Red Rock Canyon is splendid. There's also the Valley of Fire??

I'd second the Red Rock Canyon drive, AND Red Rock Casino!
It doesn't take long to get there, so it isn't like 'gettin' outa town'
for a mini roadtrip and see the desert...
I've never heard of Primm or Pahrump being much of a tourist or
sightseeing destination...GO TO LAKE LAS VEGAS and check out
the MONTECARLO and the little village of shops.... drive around
the lake and see the other properties out there...it's not far, and
a neat little area for gaming and eats.
