I would like to do the same when I come in mid Oct. Do I just go the cashiers cage and buy them or do I have to play at a table game to get them?

You can just buy them at the cage, in fact, ask for "a nice one". Personally I like them to be leftovers from the battle, but no harm either way.

Closings....

- no timetable on the New Frontier. There have been "plans" for the last six years, nothing's happened, and I'm not holding my breath.

- Trop isn't necessarily going to close. Last I heard was that the new owners (Columbia Sussex, also own the off-strip Westin Casuarina) are thinking about demolishing the lo-rise buildings and putting a new project in there while keeping the towers open. IMO, that's smart.

- The Ho land was bought by somebody who wanted to do condos. Then Harrahs bought it (or are in the process of buying it). Harrahs has promised to trade it to the adjacent Stardust so Boyd has more room to develop Eschelon Place.

doc al has the bases covered (even better than me), lol

thx al

agreed, you can (either)

go to a table & buy some $1 chips
or go to the cage... if they arent busy, they'll take the time to look thru a stack of them to get you a clean one.
