Have a few general questions about Vegas

Hello everyone, this will be my introduction AND advice thread...

I'm Mike, from Virginia, right near Virginia Beach on the coast, I'm about 20 minutes away from the ocean front.

I am going to Vegas March 6th until the 10th, which is a Saturday. There are 8 of us going, staying in a hotel room off of the strip, which I believe is either Double Tree or the Hilton, reason being is one of the girls that's going works there and she gets a pretty nice discount on rooms.

I have been to Vegas before, but only for half a day, and I have a few questions for you guys.

Everyone going is at least 21, except for my girlfriend, she is 20

I guess you could say I was caught in between a rock and a hard place with her either going or not going, as all of our mutual friends (and her girlfriends) are going and are over 21. I think most of us plan on gambling, us guys play poker so I'm sure we'll do a lot of that, I have been doing some research on things that my girlfriend would be able to do along with everyone else. She knows there are things that she won't be able to do, and I'm going to do my best to make it a good trip for everyone.

Haha haven't asked a question yet so bear with me!

1. I am under the assumption that anyone underage (21) cannot gain entry into bars or clubs, is this correct?

2. For shows with that are labeled 'adult' do you have to be of age, and is that age 21?

My main concern is everyone wanting to go out to a bar, or somewhere my gf cannot go. It is fine with me if that happens, I just want to be able to do something with her while they are out.

So I am open to any and all suggestions you guys have that are Vegas veterans as to my situation.

i just read just about every thread on casino hype since my first post haha. im sure there is a lot more info there in the old threads, and ill be sure to read it here soon.

but to add to this thread, i play no limit texas holdem and will be looking for tournaments and cash games to play in. a friend of mine played in a $60+2 a few mornings he was there, but i cannot recall the casino. something like this would be ideal, and i know the cash game buy-in is bigger, $200 and up i believe, that is fine as well.

reading all of your posts is making me excited haha, i keep forgetting its only january!

like i said above, id love to go to a show that my girlfriend can attend, even if it is just the two of us, maybe make it a 'date night,' so if you have any suggestions on a show and how and when to book it (i know as early as possible) that'd be wonderful.

I will try and find out exactly which hotel we are staying in, but unfortunately i think its pretty far from the strip, maybe 10, 15, 20 minutes?

Again I appreciate the time all of you guys take out of your day to answer posts like these! It really makes a big impact on the trip.

Only the topless shows would be 21 and up, even at that some have a "covered" version, i.e Jubilee.

Clubs, I have no idea. Not sure about bars/lounges, but I don't see a lot of carding going on.
