Default Stardust

Rumor has it Stardust will be imploded in 13 months. Rumor was from the shuttle driver going to Sams Town. Said plans are for it to come down on New Years of 2006 or would it be 2007. Well whatever 13 months from now is.

I have read a few articles about the Stardust and not sure if they are going to implode or try to redevelop, most likely they will implode though.

When I find some more info, I will post.

They're not moving real fast on a plan. Last I heard they weren't even sure which direction to go: condos, convention center, add or implode. They do have a huge lot to work with, and could easily leave the existing towers, build a new tower, and add to or rework the casino. They really like the Borgata.

Quick tidbit of information I found today..

Word on the street is that Boyd Gaming will make an announcement before the end of the year on what it plans to do with its 60 or so acres of land on the north end of the Strip, currently home to the Stardust. Whatever the plans, it will almost definitely mean the 47-year-old hotel will not make it to its 48th birthday in 2006.
