Ashlee Simpson's show at Radio Music Awards Cancelled

Ashlee Simpson has been hospitalised after collapsing in Japan, having earlier temporarily walked out during a gig.

She left her band performing to a confused audience when she left the stage mid-way through singing Boyfriend.

After the band had continued through that song and started another, she returned, and apologised, announcing that too much touring was affecting her voice.

However, she later collapsed in an elevator at the Pacifico Yokohama, where MTV Japan was hosting its "Cool Christmas" concert.

"She's still in the hospital, on an IV," confirmed her father and manager Joe Simpson.

Her performance at the Radio Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday has been cancelled.

Bo Bice will also be cancelling and the event is at the Aladdin Resort & Casino
