Default TR 6/2 to 6/5, day 4

Posted by misterKeno on 06-07-2005

Okay, wake up in Gilroy, CA @ 10:00, thx to my wake up call. Pack, get a newspaper & see my Oak A's are playing. It's only about an hour drive up to Oakland....so i park it at a BART (that's a station for the transit-system in the bay area). Arrive at the game four minutes before the game starts & take in the game. Oak CRUSHES Tor 12 to 3 (or 4).

That's mostly it for my TR.... i drove back towards home, and within three hours i'm back home and un-packing.

Not a whole-ton of excitement...but that's how it goes. The road-trip did me good. It's always great to come back a different way than ya went--gives you chances to see new things.

question/feedback if ya want
matthew

Nice trip, hope you got what you needed out of it. Nice run on the placed eight there, I never have the cojones to do that.

Matthew,
I really enjoyed the trip with you. The freedom that you moved with was wonderful. You covered a lot of territory but not rushed. You had some nice wins to cover some of the not so good streaks. LOL I can identify with you on buying gas. I always seem to fill up at the exit before the better gas prices.
That was some drive you made on Sat. How many miles did you drive?
Again I'm glad you could make this trip. Good for the soul.

hi doc al... yea the trip was something that i guess i needed/wanted to do. I guess i wasnt in the mood for long gambling sessions....so i plopped some extra clams out there & hoped for the best.

Jean... thx, also, for the kind words. First day was like 555 miles, but breezed right by, actually. Third day--was at least 600 miles, and that sorta dragged on account of my speeds were lower due to night-time...so that was a long stretch. Fourth day--very very short drive from the back to my hometown.

Ive learned that its smart to gas up in a BIG town, even if you dont need to. I only got nailed with BIG prices on that first day--so not all that bad.

Thx for taking time out to read all the days.

Matthew,

Thanks for the report. I enjoyed the read. Sounds like you had good road trip. You racked up some miles. Dh wants to drive to Myrtle Beach to visit some friends this summer and it is 800+ miles. That's a long drive!

As others have said I think it was probably good for you to get away and ponder.

Take Care,
De
