Default Moving

Hi everyone,

Haven't been here for awhile as I had made mention before we were thinking of moving out of state. It has finally happened! Dh has already gone he left a couple of weeks ago and I'm joining him in about 10 days.

As some of you know we live in MI but you don't know we are moving to Myrtle Beach, SC. We got our home up for sale but can't wait for the sale. We are moving our business down there and hopefully it will succeed.

It's really scary if you have lived one place your whole life and trying to start a new life someplace else. The worst part is leaving the kids and grandkids. That is what is killing me.

Probably won't be here for awhile until we get settled in. We will be staying with friends for a couple of months. Friends living there is the only highlight of this whole thing.

With this move I have no idea when we will be able to get to Vegas again. I'll have to check the air prices from there.

As I said I'll be here for another 10 days. I'll check in and see what is going on here.

De

De.. moving is rough.

I know all about it.. moved twice in the last year.. and 4 times in the past 6 years. Boxes, tape, stuff getting broke... and a sore back.

Sigh..

But--you need to take a chance & i wish the best for you and your guy. So, what type of business do you have?

Hey Matthew,

Thanks for the kind words. We have a drywall business. Hoping to expand into building once we get our house sold and get established down there.

Right now he is getting the license he needs to start a business and all the other paper work and ins. ect.

Right now he has gotten an offer to drywall 500 house's. So far so good.

Thanks everyone,

I'm trying to look at this as a new adventure in our life. It is sooo hard. Just talked to dh on the phone. He calls me every morning @ 6:30am. He is going to have to come back next week and get the rest of his equipment. Spray machines, scaffolding, generator ect. Lots of stuff.

Greg, not only do I have about 15 pair of boots I wear but also I collect miniture boots. I have never actually counted how many I have but I guess around 75. My dh just made me a boot bath towel holder in our master bathroom. It's one of a kind and I love it! I will have to be very carefull when packing these items as some of them are fragile.

de.. sounds like things are rolling...

hang in there--ive got a feeling it will work out. I remember seeing a team put up drywall (and/or) gypsum board up in a building... hard work. I loved that machine that would let you lay it flat then crank it up against the ceiling for turbo nailing it. Neat stuff... and all the porter-cable brand equiptment.

drywall will always be needed !!!

I'm leaving Monday to go start a new life and I'm scared to death! Still haven't sold our home and that makes it very tough.

Thanks to everyone here for your support. I'll keep in touch.

Being scared is the right feeling to have. It reminds you that each of us is normal.

Hang in there.
