Default Memorial Day is almost over...

I didn't get to go to the beach, relax, or travel this weekend because I had my son.. But that is the reason I had such a great weekend!

I just took it easy, we went to the pool, rode bikes, etc..

Anyone do anything special this weekend??

Hey Grant .. that sounds like a really nice weekend with your son. You are so right that's what it's all about.

I went to a family cookout yesterday enjoyed the food, chat, and seeing all the young ones and their families.

Stayed over with my sil and helped her pack dishes. She is on the move again...LOL She's a real estate agent and buys a house every other year.
Was a very hot weekend here 94 today, so I'm sure all the beaches and pools were very busy.

Hope everyone had a good holiday and a safe one.

Saturday night, I drove over to Biloxi with a friend. What a waste of time and money. We stayed up all night, then drove back on Sunday morning. Today I went to another friend's house and we sat by (and in) her pool. It was a nice sunny day and I probably got a little sunburnt. But, it was a nice Memorial Day.

Grant, I'm just mad at Biloxi because I couldn't win a thing! I'll get over it and I'm sure I'll be back over there in a couple of months.

Grant, I suggest you wait until the end of the summer when more casinos are expected to be open. Currently there are only three open, and two of them are operating in temporary locations in the hotel lobbies. The Beau Rivage is scheduled to open at the end of August, and I've heard that Harrah's plans to open up a temporary casino in the old Biloxi Grand Bayview Hotel. Biloxi is still a mess -- lots of devastation and piles of rubble are still around. And, you can see where houses used to be and now it is just an empty lot with debris. It is still sad to drive around the Biloxi area. You can still see lots of those FEMA trailors that people are living in, since their houses were destroyed.
