I think we can all agree that the topic on this forum is the 'continuous one' that we all visit.

I scanned thru the numbers and did some calculations. Now hear me out.

There are 621 replies.
There are 9448 views.

When you do the math, it means that 1 out of 15 persons who VIEWS the last thread, will make a reply and keep it going. I estimate that the small bunch of us that have kept it going will always (or almost always) post a reply (rather than just letting it 'go' to the next person).

With that in mind... I feel the forum has a lot of foot-traffic, but people arent putting their butt down in a chair to sit a spell.

(( oh 'spell' means a bit of time ))

Grant, do you believe there is a an issue (problem) of persons NOT SIGNING UP and becoming a member??

I wouldn't call it a 'problem', but the demographic here is
very limited to the Topics of interests.

Not alot of Show goers...
Not many Poker players...
Not many Sports enthusiasts...(now that Randy and Gary aren't around)
Vegas trips are few and far between with reguards to the amount of
folks who post regularlly...which make many of the 'topics'...of no regular
interest until a trip gets close.
Many of the 'copy 'n paste' articels don't seem to generate any replies...
and that's just the way this board is and probably always will be.

a lot of folks just post when they are getting ready for a Vegas trip. The rest of the time I guess they have no interest. Just an observation from me.

Yeah, that is common with most message boards on the Internet. A lot of what people call "lurkers". Some people find the info they need by lurking and never have to post a question or reply, some are not familiar with message board software and might not want to register.

Some of forums will have sections of the board that can only be viewed by registered users. This is method to get more people to register and hopefully end up posting.
