I've been working for the most part.... otherwise...

1) bought a refrigerator (mini kind). I needed a nightstand... and... well, this suffices juuust fine, lol.

2) spent the last 2 sundays @ the IP with a co-worker. They have a set-up in their showroom with projection tv's so you can watch the NFL. But, drink service is so-so, plus you PAY for em. By halftime -- he and i venture into the REGULAR sportsbook & this one waitress takes care of us like kings. My buddy out-drinks me bigtime!!! No comment.

3) had a miracle run @ the LVH & at the Stardust. Low buy-ins @ craps & walking out with a handful of green chips.

4) weather here in the 70's .. gas in the $2.30 range.

5) been hopping around on this board & 'another' board related to LV.

6) not much else -- just regular normal stuff

7) hmm, what am i leaving out ?

SOS here...This time of year the winds come up and lots of
folks are a bit on edge...it was this time 10+ years ago we
had the BIG Oakland fire storm...1300 homes burned and
stopped 3 houses down from me. RED FLAG alerts all over right now...

It's also real pretty...Liquid Amber trees are starting to turn color,
night and mornings are crisp...GAS about the same price as Vegas.
I'm planning my Dec. 3-7 trip...and watching SOUTHWEST for my
March rates...still not quite up yet, but when they do...I plan to snag
the 'Internet cheap rates'...$79/$89/ each way.

Nothing too exciting here.

Looks like my next Vegas trip will not be until Feb. for the Super Bowl. Might try to get out there beforehand, but we will see. Probably not.

The good thing is that some close friends of ours got a position in Vegas and moved out there last month. I am going to head down on Wednesday of Super Bowl weekend and stay a night with them. This will give me like 5 nights in Vegas for Super Bowl weekend.

Trying to make at least a trip to Biloxi in the meantime, but haven't set anything in stone.

Gas is around $2.13, got as low as $2.08

I'm busy working (keeps me out of trouble) and planning my next trip to Vegas in December. I have already purchased tickets for 3 shows -- Mystere, Love and Plaid Tidings. I will soon be making a reservation for the Sterling Brunch at Bally's. The other thing I want to do is take a bus tour to Hoover Dam. Gas is $2.12 here. I will be going to the Biloxi casinos and Pearl River Resort Indian casino for Thanksgiving. It finally cooled off a little here. It got down to 50 degrees last night. Highs are around 70. I was ready for a cool-down.

Fl Mary. Saw Plaid Tidings last year and really enjoyed the show.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the show.

Hi Everyone!

I've been sooo busy since May. As some of you know I have moved from Michigan to Myrtle Beach, SC. Just last week however we moved to Surfside Beach which is just south of Myrtle Beach. We are just across the street from the ocean. We actually came down here the middle of June and have been adjusting ever since.

First time in my life I am actually looking forward to winter. Since being born and raised in Michigan I haven't known anything but cold and snow during the winter months.

However I miss my children and grandchildren something awful. They have all come down for a visit since I've been here but it just isn't the same. My little grandson called a couple weeks ago and wanted to know why he couldn't just come over and spend the night.

Of course one of the first thing I checked out since I have been here is the prices to Vegas. They are almost double in price for airfare from what I"ve payed flying out of Detroit. All airfare to go anywhere is more expensive from here. It is cheaper to fly to Florida from Detroit than from Myrtle Beach and M.B. is closer. Doesn't make since to me.

Now that we are finally settled somewhat, I'll be here more often. However we have "old school" dial-up. It's not as bad as I remembered. Maybe the phone lines are better here.

Our best friends live here in Myrtle Beach and we are hoping we can get them to Vegas on our next trip. Possibly in '07.

Ladydancer so nice to hear from you. Glad your move is over and your all settled in. Bet you do miss the grandkids. That would be the one thing I would miss if we moved too.

Glad to hear you're getting settled in. Gosh, that's a tough one with the little ones wanting to come over (as if it is juuuust across the street). Oh well.

I know it's not the same -- but the ocean is a FIIIINE thing.

I'm sure you'll get your butt to LV before too long... hang in there. Good to hear from ya !!
