Default My First Royal!

I finally got a Royal Flush! I was in Mobile Al for some medical procedures (colonoscopy/endoscopy) yesterday. Afterwards, I felt OK, so my sister and I decided to drive over to Biloxi, which is only 45 minutes from Mobile. We went to the Beau Rivage since we both had free play and we hate to lose our free play. I was playing a quarter three play JOB machine, held 3 to the royal, then on the middle line, the other 2 clubs popped up for a $1000 payout. I was so excited! It made me forget about the mild pain and cramps I was feeling from my medical tests earlier that day. I hope I don't have to wait years for my next RF!

BTW, my tests were ok. When you turn 50, doctors are determined to find something wrong with you. I'm glad I don't need to repeat these tests for ten years.

Congratulations on the ROYAL as well as your test results. Hope you get many more. Had two royals and hope I get many more.

VERY COOL Mary...VERY COOL!
I can only relate to your earlier experience that day! lol
AND, I've also felt that sensation while holding 4 to a Royal
and NOT hitting!!! MY MY MY...I'm still waiting for my 1st. and
I think I play pretty good strategy too...
...not even when using Dancer's WIN POKER for practice.
Did you only hit on that center line?...I always hope for all 3!

Greg, I practice with WinPoker too and I think I've got the strategy down. I only hit on the center line. There have been so many times that I just miss the RF. Seeing the RF pop up was so unbelieveable. I sat there and watched the screen for a long time.

LOL! yeah, I'd probably do the same thing too...just admire the view
for a minute.
Ya know the sad thing these days....the thrill of those BIG HITS are gone.
The big JACKPOTS, ROYAL FLUSH...all use to generate the attention
of the folks around you, 'Change' and 'Floor officers' would rush over...
the machines would flash their lights, make lots of noise to announce
something special had happened...NOT ANY MORE. TITO has sure has
deflated all that ritual AND FUN!

I've sat near folks who hit ROYALS...there's excitement but ten feet
away...other folks walk right by, unaware theres anything going on.
I like TITO now, but really miss the thrill and noise of coins dropping
into the tray for what seemed like 10min. as your machine blasted out
the announcement WINNER WINNER WINNER JACKPOT JACKPOT.......
The only place I still notice that excitement is around the WOF machines
when the player has an audience of friends looking on.......

Congrats!!

I have never hit a Royal. My brother hit one on a penny machine one time, and it was sure a pretty sight!

Nice payoff too, you were playing max credits right? :-D

Thanks Grant. Yes, max credits. It was a triple play machine so I was playing 15 quarters.
