I am a 30 year old female from Chicago and I absolutely LOVE VEGAS. In my early to mid 20’s I would go out there 2-3 times a year with my best friend, but times have changed and we no longer can do that because my best friend no longer has the financial resources like she did and let’s face it, many of the hotels aren’t as reasonable as they used to be. — I swear getting older and having more responsibilities can be a bummer at times. I also have a great boyfriend but he doesn’t have the financial resources either! It stinks when your freinds/loved ones don’t have the same bank roll as you do. I offered to pitch in for them to go, but both have been — nooo we can’t do that to you!

The last trip I made out there was about 2 years ago and I needed to go. I am a teacher with the summer off and I have been reading this board for years ( used to somewhat contribute aloonnng time ago under another name but lost the password and for some reason couldn’t get registered until now — weeeiiird ). The posts of most interest to me were “solo” trips. I was hemming and hawwwwwing — should I go myself or not go myself ????

Nike tells one to “JUST DO IT” so that is exactly what I did. I booked a flight through Southwest. It was no frills, cheap, and got me there. I was hesitant about flying Southwest because I usually have flown ATA, United, American, and another airline I think was called National .. they flew from Midway and had great food and service … I liked them .. too bad they went under.

I arrived at the airport and I walked off the plane with a great big smile on my face — here I am .. I am in VEGAS , I ammmm sooo happy. (more…)
