You may have to play with your dates a little as they have a lot of different options, but we were able to find rates as low as $20 per night for the Vintage Queen Nonsmoking room.

A lot of $28 rates too.

El Cortez has been getting a lot better reviews as more and more hotels close downtown. They updated some rooms as well as added additional security. Enjoy some old school Vegas charm.

#4 – Ellis Island $7.99 – $8.99 Steak Special – * Updated rules

A top Las Vegas Special. Includes a 10-ounce filet, a side of green beans and choice of potato (garlic mashed, baked, or steak fries), along with the microbrew of your choice or the EI’s own root beer.

This special is not on the menu, so you simply tell your server that you would like the steak special. They changed the rules where you had to print the voucher from their automated players club machine, now they changed it again.

New Rules: After players play $1 or more with their players club card at any machine, they can print a $1 off voucher at any Passport Central kiosk. They must present the voucher to the server before ordering. It’s available daily and is good for the BBQ and Cafe. Steak and daily specials included, except the taxi steak and egg special. One per person.

Ellis Island is located behind Ballys, and is about a 10 minute walk from the strip.

#5 – $.75 draft beer at Casino Royale

It seems like the battle for cheap beer is on, and Casino Royale is one of my favorite places.

Famous for their $1 Michelob bottles, Margarita, or Strawberry Daiquri, now we are hearing you can enjoy a .75 Bud Light or Coors Light draft beer. Not sure of the exact size of the draft.

Casino Royale is located mid strip and the bar is located only a few steps from the Las Vegas strip. Enjoy your walk with a cold beer!
