Looks like the very popular “Dollar Days” at the Sahara will not much longer…
It was just announced that the Sahara Hotel and Casino, one of the older and more affordable Strip casino hotels, will be closing for good on May 16, 2011.
The 49-year-old casino and hotel has 1,720 rooms and a good sized casino floor space at 85,000 square feet.
Sahara offered cheap rooms and always offered lower stake gaming.
If you are gonna be in town, take a visit over to the Sahara before it closes as a true Vegas icon is leaving us…
They are also having March Madness events at the NASCAR Cafe and I am sure there will be some good food and drink deals.
I was very sad to hear that the Sahara is closing. I hace stayed there many times and my sons loved the Nascar simulator (we even got grandpa to compete.) Such a sad event.
